Renée A. Rubino has been featured in the New Jersey Law Journal's annual magazine supplement entitled, "40 Under 40," which recognizes attorneys not only for their accomplishments thus far in their careers, but for the promise they show to be among the leaders of the New Jersey Bar. She has extensive experience in the areas of commercial and residential real estate, including commercial leases, land use, redevelopment, and condemnation/eminent domain law. As a member of several business owner’s organizations, she also works with small and medium size business owners relative to company formation and/or acquisition, and general corporate matters. She also serves as a Superior Court appointed mediator in business disputes.
A former adjunct professor of legal research and writing at Seton Hall University School of Law, Ms. Rubino currently serves as a Superior Court appointed Condemnation Commissioner in Bergen County, making determinations as to fair market value of commercial property in condemnation and eminent domain litigation. She is a member of the Appraisal Institute and the New Jersey Association of Professional Mediators.
After graduating from East Stroudsburg University, summa cum laude, in 1991, Ms. Rubino attended the University of Akron School of Law, serving as a member of Akron's Trial Team and Jessup International Law Moot Court Team. She was selected as a research assistant for the Brennan Chair Visiting Professor, Arthur M. Dula, President of Space Commerce Corporation, Houston, Texas, where she co-authored an Akron Law Review Article entitled, "Bringing Down the Barriers, American Laws that Impede Trade with the CIS," 26 Akron L. Rev. 441 (1993).
Ms. Rubino graduated from law school in 1994 and, having served as a law clerk to the Honorable Mary F. Spicer, Summit County Court of Common Pleas, began her legal career at one of the largest law firms in Ohio, Roetzel and Andress, before returning to her native New Jersey in 1997.
